Ideal Institute of Engineering was established in the year 2010 by Ideal Science and Research Welfare Hub created by a group of committed academics and enterprising academicians. It is a private engineering college affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi – offering five disciplines namely Civil Engineering(CE), Computer Science and Engineering(CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE), Electrical Engineering(EE) and Mechanical Engineering(ME). The institute is committed and strongly believes in embracing changes in engineering education and strives to strengthen technical education. It is located in a vibrant, serene and green campus at Kalyani, just opposite to Kalyani Shilpanchal railway station.

The able guidance and patronage of Mr. Partha Sarathi Hesh, the honourable Secretary, Dr. Raghupati Goswami, the dignified Chairman, Mr. Bratish Kumar Sarkar, the esteemable President, have equipped the college with excellent facilities such as spacious classrooms, seminar halls, well-equipped laboratories, exemplary technical education with dedicated well-qualified faculty members. Students are supported through mentoring and counseling systems. The management offers scholarships to meritorious students. There is a strong motivation to develop the holistic personality of students with emphasis on soft skills.
