Ideal Institute of Engineering was founded in 2010 to “promote in various ways the cause of higher education in Engineering in the state of West Bengal; for the new innovations and enhancement of the skills of everyone associated with Ideal Institute of Engineering; and to aid the Ideal Institute of Engineering in its development as a leading education institution.” It is a part of non-profit educational hub that receives, administers, and distributes contributions made in support of the stake holders of Ideal Institute of Engineering. With approximately 800 students, 56 faculty members, and 70 staff members, we are one of the largest Engineering colleges in the state. We are consistently ranked as one of the top engineering institute and continuously innovate to keep our college at the forefront of engineering education. Our size and resources allow us to offer a diversity of educational and research opportunities that enable us to produce highly sought after engineering professionals. We offer degrees in five different courses of Engineering at the undergraduate level and pride ourselves in strong interdisciplinary research activities at the under-graduate level, leading to the awarding of over 300 degrees annually.
