It is a multidisciplinary department housing different domains – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Economics & Management.

The department boasts of a young, enthusiastic group of faculty members with excellent academic credentials from JU, CU, Visva-Bharati, and NIT who engage in innovative teaching-learning methods in classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern, sophisticated infrastructure.

It is the department with the largest student presence, as the entire student body in B. Tech. 1st Year is under its provenance. The ever-enthusiastic bunch of student-friendly faculties is the first port of contact for the students. This makes a fantastic trustworthy bond between the students and faculties, which remains as a good experience for both of them. The laboratory facilities are being established to provide adequate opportunities for students to learn practical aspects of BSH dept. It constantly endeavours to provide ongoing support for pre-placement training in English and Mathematics for campus recruitment drives.
