Disciplinary Committee

The Disciplinary Committee of Ideal Institute of Engineering is constituted to uphold and maintain a safe, orderly, and ethically responsible academic environment within the institution. Guided by the principles of fairness, transparency, and institutional integrity, the Committee is entrusted with the responsibility of examining, addressing, and resolving matters related to student conduct and campus discipline.

The Committee ensures that all members of the academic community adhere to the established rules, regulations, and codes of behaviour prescribed by the Institute. Its role encompasses preventing misconduct, promoting a culture of mutual respect, and taking appropriate corrective measures whenever deviations occur. Through timely intervention, impartial inquiry, and structured redressal mechanisms, the Disciplinary Committee strives to foster a conducive atmosphere for learning, personal growth, and professional development.

In carrying out its mandate, the Committee remains committed to safeguarding the dignity of students and staff alike, while reinforcing the values that form the foundation of Ideal Institute of Engineering.

Objective

To ensure that students obey rules, remain orderly and peaceful in the pursuant of educational objectives/goals in the college community.

Functions and Responsibilities

  1. To frame rules and regulations with an optimistic approach to impart discipline among the students on campus.
  2. To create awareness about ragging menace and ensure a student-friendly environment for superior learning.
  3. To uptake measures for inappropriate and disruptive behavior of students both in college premises and in the hostels.
  4. To achieve the goal of creating a safe and motivating environment through positive attitudes and best practices.

Standard Operating Procedure for Disciplinary Committee

  1. The committee is responsible to maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus.
  2. All the students should wear their ID Cards while they are in the campus and in their respective classrooms.
  3. Arrive to class on time with the necessary belongings. Late comers will not be allowed for the same class.
  4. In case of any violation of rules is found, immediately necessary to be taken by the committee Members.
  5. In case the attendance is found less than 75%, he /she will not be allowed to appear for the end semester examinations.
  6. Student must pay stipulate fees within the given time span.
  7. Misbehavior of any student need to be reported with their parents and necessary action to be taken by the committee
  8. If any damage is caused to the college property by any student or by the group of students, the cost of the same will be recovered with a fine from the said student or group by the Disciplinary Committee.
  9. Smoking, chewing tobacco, consuming alcohol or taking drugs is strictly prohibited in the institute. Any student is found in inebriated condition; he / she will be suspended / expelled from the institute.
  10. At the end of the academic year the annual and action taken report are to be submitted to IQAC.
