Ragging has been a scourge on our educational institutions, ruining countless innocent lives and careers. In response to this grave issue, the Hon’ble Supreme Court, in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, issued guidelines for the establishment of a Central Crisis Hotline and Anti-Ragging database. In adherence to these guidelines and the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging, Ideal Institute of Engineering is pleased to announce the constitution of the Anti-Ragging Committee.

Led by the esteemed Principal of the institute, Dr. Syed Samser Ali, and convened by Mr. AmbarishBasu, the Anti-Ragging Committee has been in operation since 2011. The committee has been further modified in the year 2024-25 to ensure its effectiveness in addressing instances of ragging within our institution.

The Anti-Ragging Committee is committed to creating a safe and conducive environment for all students, free from any form of harassment or intimidation. We urge all students to familiarize themselves with the guidelines set forth by the committee and to report any incidents of ragging immediately.
