The Department of Civil Engineering warmly welcomes aspiring engineers who are passionate about building a career in this dynamic and ever-evolving field. We offer a B.Tech program in Civil Engineering, designed to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical exposure across various core disciplines such as Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Surveying. In addition to technical excellence, our curriculum emphasizes values-based education, nurturing responsible engineers equipped not only with technical expertise but also with a deep sense of social responsibility and a holistic understanding of sustainable development.

Civil Engineering Department
The Department of Civil Engineering at Ideal Institute of Engineering was established in the year 2011. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to imparting quality technical education to undergraduate students, equipping them with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for their professional growth. The department boasts modern infrastructure supported by state-of-the-art laboratories, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in various aspects of civil engineering. We take pride in our team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members, many of whom are alumni of NITs, NITTTR, and other prestigious institutions. To enhance students’ learning experience, the department regularly organizes industrial visits, seminars, workshops, debates, quizzes, and other co-curricular activities. Soft skill development programs are also embedded into the curriculum to enhance students’ communication and professional skills, thereby improving their placement prospects. The department actively engages with parents through regular Parent-Teacher Meetings to ensure continuous monitoring of students’ academic performance and attendance. We also facilitate summer and winter internships by coordinating with industries to provide students with valuable real-world exposure. The department works with the core objective of addressing critical challenges faced by industry, society, and academia. However, our greatest commitment lies in nurturing our students — helping them learn, grow, and excel — and ultimately supporting them in achieving their career aspirations and becoming responsible professionals contributing to society.
