It gives me immense pride and pleasure to lead the Department of Electrical Engineering of this revered & esteemed institution. Electrical Engineering is the front runner because of its recent gratitude and acceptance by all industries and academics, thereby gaining the self-confidence of our students to compete successfully with all competitive disciplines. It conveys quality education in diverse disciplines of Electronics, Computer, Control, Machine Learning, Data Science, Automation, Power Engineering, etc. The integral skills of our students are being well cherished by highly qualified faculty and hardworking staff in achieving the goals & objectives of the Department.
Our Department consists of various laboratories furnished with the new technological setup and apparatus giving the scope to all students to have hands-on experience individually, which will increase their confidence to face the practical problems in the field of Electrical Engineering and relevant domain.
The department conducts regularly various programs such as Workshops, Technical Training, Symposium, Project-competition, Guest Lectures and Seminars, etc. by Experts from Industry and Academic backgrounds for constant knowledge up-gradation of staff and students. This action helps to know the latest technologies, in the field of Electrical Engineering. Industrial visits are regularly organized to improve the practical knowledge of the students and to have an interaction with the industry people.
ABOUT DEPARTMENT
Ideal Institute of Engineering offers the AICTE approved and MAKAUT affiliated B.Tech. Course in Electrical Engineering which is one of the largest and fastest growing fields that generally deals with the study and application of Electricity, Electronics & Electromagnetism and is also responsible for generation, transmission and conversion of electrical power. The department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2011 with an objective to develop professionals through quality education with an intake of 48 students. The department has good infrastructural facilities and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories such as
- Basic Electrical lab
- Electrical Machines Lab- I and II
- Power Electronics lab
- Electrical Measurements lab
- Advanced Electrical Engineering lab
- Electrical Workshop.
The Departmental faculty is a mix of industrial and academic expertise with highly qualified and experienced Professors, and Assistant Professors. Our main aim is to impart knowledge with innovative ideas to the students in the teaching-learning process. In this process, students are given assignments and solve practice problems to equip themselves for the exams which are conducted in addition to two series of exams.
The faculty members identify slow learners and give them special training thus enabling them to cope with the other peers in the respective class. The meritorious students are given special training on current research areas. Our pass out students have qualified in many on and off campus interviews and now working in prime companies.
